Red Dot Marine Pte. Ltd. (“RdM”, “we”) respects your privacy. This Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use our ship valuation service and related brokerage activities. We operate under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR. This Notice is informational and not legal advice.

1) Who we are

2) What we collect

  • Contact & company data: name, work email, phone/WhatsApp, company, country, role, VAT/GST (if any).
  • Valuation inputs: purpose/date, vessel identification (IMO/specs), value drivers (e.g., SS/DD, equipment, charter status), and links to documents (e.g., Q88, class reports).
  • Technical data: IP, device/browser, basic analytics and form metadata.
  • Payment data: handled by Wise; we receive payment confirmations and references, not your full card/bank details.

3) How we use data (purposes & legal bases)

  • Provide valuations and communicate with you (contract or legitimate interests).
  • KYC/KYB, sanctions/AML screening (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
  • Billing & payments via Wise (contract and legitimate interests).
  • Service improvement, QA, analytics (legitimate interests; you can opt out of marketing).
  • Legal & compliance (legal obligation/legitimate interests).

4) Sharing & processors

We share personal data with service providers acting under our instructions, including: Google (Forms/Workspace/Apps Script, email), website/hosting and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight Tag), payment processor (Wise), secure storage, and professional advisers. We do not sell personal data.

5) International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country. We implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections, PDPA “comparable protection,” and, where GDPR applies, Standard Contractual Clauses).

6) Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes and to meet legal, tax, and audit requirements. Typical periods: valuation workpapers and KYC records up to 7 years from last interaction, unless longer retention is required by law or to establish/exercise legal claims.

7) Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (access control, encryption in transit, principle of least privilege). No system is completely secure.

8) Your rights

  • PDPA (Singapore): access and correction, withdraw consent (affects future processing), complain to PDPC.
  • GDPR (where applicable): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to complain to an EU/UK supervisory authority.

9) Marketing

We may send service updates and valuation-related insights. You can opt out anytime via the link in emails or by contacting us.

10) Cookies

Our site may use necessary cookies and analytics pixels (e.g., Google/LinkedIn) to improve the service. You can manage cookies via your browser settings and, where available, our banner controls.

11) Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12) Changes

We may update this Notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
