Confidentiality Policy

Red Dot Marine Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “RdM”) understands the sensitive nature of information shared in ship valuation and S&P contexts. This policy explains how we treat information you provide to us via our intake form, email, or other channels. This policy is not a substitute for a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). If you require an NDA, please request our standard form.
1) Scope
This policy applies to information you provide to obtain an indicative valuation, including vessel particulars, documents, financial or commercial details, and your contact/company information (“Confidential Information”).
2) Our confidentiality commitment
- We will use Confidential Information solely to evaluate, prepare, and deliver your valuation or related brokerage diligence.
- We restrict access to personnel and vetted processors who need it for this purpose and are subject to confidentiality obligations.
- We will not disclose Confidential Information to third parties without your consent, except as permitted under this policy.
3) What is not confidential
- Information that is or becomes public through no breach by RdM;
- Information lawfully received from a third party without confidentiality obligations;
- Information independently developed by us without reference to your data;
- Aggregated, de-identified insights that do not identify you or your vessel.
4) Permitted disclosures
We may disclose information:
- to our professional advisers (e.g., legal/compliance) under confidentiality obligations;
- to service providers (e.g., secure cloud/email, analytics, payment, document storage) acting on our instructions;
- if required by law, regulator, court, or sanctions/AML obligations (see KYC Disclaimer); and
- to the extent necessary to pursue or defend legal claims.
5) Security
We employ reasonable technical and organisational measures (least-privilege access, encryption in transit, restricted sharing). No method is 100% secure; please avoid sending passports or bank statements unless requested.
6) Return/Destruction
Upon written request, we will return or delete Confidential Information we control, except where retention is required by law or for audit/compliance (see Privacy Notice).
7) Duration
Our confidentiality obligations apply during the engagement and for three (3) years thereafter, or longer where trade secrets are concerned.
8) No waiver / no advice
Nothing herein waives any rights or creates an agency, partnership, or fiduciary relationship. We provide commercial views only and do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.
