About Red Dot Marine

The People and Judgment Behind RdM

Red Dot Marine, operating under the RdM brand, is a maritime advisory and ship broking platform supporting serious principals in vessel sale & purchase, chartering, ship valuation, and pre-deal commercial assessment.

Our work is built around one simple discipline: clarity before commitment. We help clients assess commercial realism, transaction risk, vessel value, chartering feasibility, and execution pathways before capital, credibility, or momentum are committed.

Founder-Led Maritime Judgment

K. Srinivas Patnaik

RdM is founder-led by K. Srinivas Patnaik, a maritime professional with more than 35 years of experience across sea-going engineering, ship management, technical operations, drydocking, inspections, ship sale & purchase, chartering support, ship recycling, and maritime business development.

His background combines practical shipboard experience with shore-based commercial and operational exposure. This allows RdM to assess maritime opportunities not only from a transaction angle, but also from the perspective of vessel condition, operating risk, owner expectations, market realism, and execution discipline.

The purpose of RdM’s advisory and broking approach is not to create unnecessary momentum. It is to help clients make better decisions before value, reputation, or time are placed at risk.

Singapore / India Presence

RdM operates through a Singapore and India structure, combining founder-led commercial judgment with India-based research, coordination, documentation, and execution support.

This structure allows RdM to remain lean, responsive, and disciplined while supporting maritime enquiries across ship broking, valuation, chartering feasibility, and pre-deal review.

How We Work

RdM works on a simple operating principle: serious maritime work should begin with clarity, not speculation.

1) Clarify

We first understand the requirement, commercial context, parties involved, authority chain, and decision objective.

2) Assess

We assess value, feasibility, risk, market alignment, and whether the transaction or enquiry deserves further action.

3) Execute Selectively

Where alignment exists, RdM may support S&P, chartering, valuation-backed negotiation, or structured transaction progression.
